Auxilio Mutuo Hospital was chosen by the March of Dimes Foundation to headquarter the FICU Family Support Program, which brings education and support to families with premature babies and babies that remain in critical care in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
The project is a component of great importance in the March of Dimes campaign. It represents the effort to manage the growing problem of premature births throughout the nation, one of the first mortality causes for infants and a major risk factor for serious health problems in our babies. Every family at NICU receives a care kit for the parents, which includes educational books.
